These terms apply when you use comparemovers.uk or submit a removal quote request.
1. Our service
CompareMovers.uk provides a quote comparison and introduction service. We are not a removal company, broker, agent or party to the contract between you and a removal provider. We do not carry out removals, control partner pricing or guarantee partner availability.
2. Quote requests
You must provide accurate, current and complete information. A request may be shared with up to five suitable independent partners. We do not guarantee that you will receive five quotes, any quote, a particular price or availability.
3. Quotes and bookings
Quotes may be estimates and may change if the information supplied is incomplete or circumstances change. Before booking, you should confirm the final price, services included, exclusions, cancellation terms, insurance, access requirements, payment terms and complaint procedure directly with the chosen provider.
4. Independent providers
Providers are independent businesses responsible for their own licences, insurance, staff, vehicles, quotations and services. Any contract is between you and the provider. CompareMovers.uk is not responsible for the provider’s acts, omissions, delays, loss, damage, pricing or service quality, except where liability cannot legally be excluded.
5. Your responsibilities
- Be at least 18 years old and authorised to request the move.
- Provide correct contact, inventory, access and property details.
- Check the identity, credentials, insurance and terms of any provider.
- Protect valuables and disclose fragile, hazardous or unusually heavy items.
- Obtain parking, access, building or landlord permissions where required.
6. Acceptable use
You must not misuse the website, submit false requests, interfere with security, introduce malware, scrape the service, impersonate another person or use the site unlawfully.
7. Website availability
We aim to keep the website available and accurate but do not guarantee uninterrupted access or that all content will always be complete or error-free. We may change, suspend or withdraw any part of the service.
8. Intellectual property
The CompareMovers.uk name, website design, text, graphics, software and branding are owned by or licensed to the website operator. All rights are reserved. You may use the site only for personal or legitimate business quote requests.
9. Liability
Nothing limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation or any liability that cannot legally be limited. Subject to that, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profit, loss caused by a provider, or decisions made from quotes. Our total liability relating to the free comparison service is limited to £100, to the extent permitted by law.
10. Consumer rights
Nothing in these terms removes rights you have under applicable consumer law.
11. Privacy and cookies
Use of personal information and cookies is explained in our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Courts of England and Wales will have jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory consumer right to bring a claim elsewhere in the UK.
